FFF Racing Team will contest the full 2021 Intercontinental GT Challenge powered by Pirelli season with a Lamborghini Huracan GT3 Evo driven by a trio of factory drivers.

Andrea Caldarelli, Marco Mapelli and Mirko Bortolotti will represent FFF in the four-race campaign which is due to start at the Total 24 Hours of Spa on July 31-Aug. 1.

FFF’s commitment to the IGTC will run alongside its maiden Nürburgring Nordschleife program in partnership with Lamborghini and Hankook.

The Chinese-owned team was due to run the full 2020 IGTC season contributing to Lamborghini’s first term as a points-paying manufacturer, but complications brought on by the coronavirus pandemic led to the program being halted after two rounds.

“After the complicated winter months, I am happy to be able to deliver some good news,” said FFF Racing Team owner Fu Songyang.

“It is an honor and a privilege for us to get back to race for Lamborghini Squadra Corse in the Intercontinental GT Challenge, which undoubtedly was an interrupted story last year.

“The partnership with Orange1 and Armando [Donazzan] is really important to us, especially because it confirms the trust in a great, high-value international brand, while the IGTC platform represents the best way for us to put ourselves to the test again.

“I think we have the best possible line-up of drivers, in terms of speed, reliability and achievements, a condition that undoubtedly puts us among the top contenders for the title.”

After Spa at the end of July, the IGTC is due to stop off at Suzuka in August, Indianapolis in October and Kyalami in December.

SRO Motorsports Group has yet to provide an official update on the status of the Suzuka 10 Hours, which is now on the same weekend as the rescheduled 24 Hours of Le Mans.
